Ashmita Guha Neogi
Ashmita Guha Neogi, a trained filmmaker from India, graduated from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India with a degree in directing and screenwriting. Her thesis film CatDog (2019) was shown in official selection at Cannes 2020’s Cinefondation section and won the Orona-NEST award at the 68th San Sebastián Film Festival. She also directed the music video Blow Up Doll for the indie band Perfect Strangers, which was selected to compete at the Berlin Short Film Festival in 2019. Her art practice investigates taboos and delves into the discomforting realm of human relationships.
