Regardless of where we stand on the use of modern technologies such as the Internet and virtual reality, whether with the reserved sceptics or captivated enthusiasts, one thing is certain: these technologies have a far-reaching impact on the way we live our lives and how we form and understand our relationships – both to other people and to the world as such.
