International Competition will present 26 films from 5 continents
The International Competition of this year's Pragueshorts will present a total of 26 short films from 5 continents. The audience will be able to enjoy the films in five thematic blocks.
In the first, entitled Day and Night, visitors will see the winning film of last year's Sundance Festival, The Headhunter's Daughter, a subtle story from the Igorot community about a girl who wants to break through in a country singing competition.

The block Of Girls and Stars includes the Chinese film All the Crows in the World, awarded the Palme d'Or at Cannes, or the original Finnish animated short Eating in the Dark.

The Lebanese black comedy about traditions, sadness and the environment, The Trees, or the Iranian film screened at Sundance and Cannes, Orthodontics, will be screened in the From the World of People section.

As part of the A Game of Truth block, we will screen, among other things, the sensation of this year's festival season, the music and dance ride Fantasma Neon, which has so far won more than 50 awards from all over the world.

Stormy Times is the title of the last, fifth block, in which you will find the Cannes & Locarno winners. Last year, the Riviera audiences were enchanted by the gentle Chinese sci-fi The Water Murmurs, while the audiences in Switzerland were mesmerized Big Bang, a black comedy about a marginalised man who one day rebels against society.
