Prague Short Films Festival and the Czech Film Center invite you for a seminar dedicated to short films in development
Are you in the process of developing a short film and are you looking for a place to consult and perfect your project with the help of international experts? The seminar takes place on Friday, January 22 at 2pm in the Small Hall of Světozor cinema.

Andrea Wink, East-West Talent lab at GoEast festival in Wiesbaden The EAST–WEST TALENT LAB is an innovative young professionals’ programme, focusing on the transfer of knowledge, creativity and project ideas, the programme intends to forge links between young filmmakers, artists, and film and media students from Germany and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. During the lab, we offer a broad range of workshops and master classes given by experts impart crucial core competences and offer profound knowledge both of the film industry as well as the production of experimental films and video art outside established industry mechanisms and economics. Representatives of national film and video-art funding institutions from Central Europe will furnish information about their subsidy structures and opportunities of financial support. Mentors advise the participants on developing their own projects. The participants will be invited to pitch their projects in front of a specialized jury and then receive direct feedback. The best pitch will receive a project development prize in the value of 3500 EUR.
Nele Luise Fritzsche, interforum & International Script Pitch at the Interfilm Berlin festival Industry platform The Interfilm Berlin International Short Films Festival aims to promote exchange of ideas, experience and knowledge among the festival guests. It encourages the guests to do so through a wide range of events including master class, panel discussions and international competition Script Pitch, which has been one of the festival peaks for a long time. The international short script competition is preceded by a five day Script Lab workshop, including development seminars and script consultation and pitch preparation. The program is open for European projects.
Markéta Šantrochová, Czech Film Center – partner of the co-production forum Euro Connection at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Films Festival The biggest European short films festival in Clermont-Ferrand features a film market that comes with a co-production forum Euro Connection, aiming to support co-production of European short films. Every year about 150 film professionals participate and since 2015, Czech Film Center is one of the partners and the only Czech institution to nominate one domestic project out of 16 pitched ones to participate on the forum. We will present the selection criteria, possibilities Euro Connection has to offer and we will show you how the films that were produced within the projects are doing now. The seminar will be in Czech or with Czech translation.
