On/Off
A monochromatic portrait of four skateboarders by filmmaker Youri Fernandez, including Fernandez himself. Set to a composition by Petit Fantôme, On/Off is part of the HOW MANY BPM? installation series, in which skateboarders ride a ramp back and forth like human metronomes, accompanied by musicians invited to create a soundtrack.

Youri Fernandez
Youri Fernandez is a visual artist focused on video and performance. He graduated with honors in 2012 from the Rocailles art school in Biarritz, France. His first performance was in 2009 for the Festival Rencontres Improbables in Bayonne, France, where he explored the relationship between skaters and urban space in Barcelona. He loves to explore multimedia software as much as drawing plants or skateboarding to a rhythm.
