International Competition 5: In the World of People

If it has ever occurred to you that the world is a fine place but not everything that looks like it is alright is actually alright, then you’re closer to the truth than you might have expected. Not every driving school is about learning how to drive a car, not every Bollywood dancer is in the right role, not every girls is just a girl, and not every town is inhabited only by locals. Often, the world is far more complicated than it looks, and not always do we move through this intimately familiar world as naturally as we would in our natural element. Sometimes, it’s more like a struggle for bare survival. Especially if you’re driving a car with an infant while trying to get through a traffic jam to its angrily waiting mother.

This year’s international competition features 25 films from 22 countries, and the jury will present one of them the award for Best Film, which comes with a 2,000-euro financial reward, as well as two Honorable Mentions.
