VR Cinema 1
There has long been more than just one reality, and the perfection achieved by digitally generated worlds is making it increasingly difficult to use the word at all. Fortunately, this “virtual reality” is for now populated only by audiovisual works such as video games, music videos, and films, but in recent years this new art form of “immersive experiences” has been spreading throughout the world at breakneck speed. It is already far more than a simple spectacle, and has begun to discover its true potential and distinctive vocabulary. Stories are told in a somewhat different manner, with a greater focus on the comprehensive perception of each moment and with an emphasis on the particular time and space.
If you are curious about what live-action, animated, music, or documentary film projects created for virtual reality look like, take advantage of the unique opportunity to visit the BRAINZ VR Cinema at the National Library of Technology in Prague.
All VR experiences are free and in English.
The VR Cinema will be open on Thursday 23 January and Friday 24 January from 1 to 7pm, and on Saturday 25 January from 11am to 6pm.
Reservations for specific times may be made in the lobby of the National Library of Technology, or in advance at +420 771 137 100.
