Czech Highlights

We have taken the opportunity and used the anniversary year of our festival to show the best short films made by Czech filmmakers from 1960 till now. Many of these were made by directors who have since earned their respected place in both national and international contexts. Most films show a fairly noticeable amount of unique sense of humor. Jan Němec, Jan Švankmajer, Jan Svěrák, Michaela Pavlátová, Tomáš Vorel, Ivan Zachariáš, Martin Krejčí and Jakub Kouřil. Eight films that constitute the crème de la crème of the past half-century in the short films making in the Czech Republic.
