Peter Sellers Rediscovered
“I found 21 cans with films and I meant to throw them away later. But then I saw two Peter Sellers films in there, including the negatives, cut out scenes and master print,” Robert Farrow commented his lucky find when clearing out the Park Lane studio building in 1997. It was 1957 when Peter Sellers played the role of Hector Dimwittie in three short comedies produced by the Park Lane studio, yet two of these got lost shortly after the premiere. All were digitally remastered in 2014 and not the “rediscovered” trio of short films showing the beginnings of a genius comedian returns to the cinema screen.
