Pragueshorts meets P*fest

Pornography doesn’t have to be just about rapid self-gratification. It can be playful, inclusive, awkward, and surprisingly creative. It can make fun of itself, question ingrained ideas about our bodies and desire, and offer different perspectives on intimacy, sexuality, and relationships. And yes, it can also be a collective experience at the movies.

The evening program was created in collaboration with P*fest, a festival whose first edition this year aims to create a space where people can talk about pornography openly, with respect and without shame. P*fest embraces values of feminism and inclusivity with an emphasis on creating a safe space. It sees pornography as a distinctive artform and social phenomenon that deserves a deeper analysis.

Pragueshorts Meets P*fest presents the best of Prague’s first p*rn festival – along with films that didn’t make it into the original program. You can look forward to a selection of short international films by distinctive auteur filmmakers that explore queer themes, ironically turn traditional porn film scenarios on their head, and use animation to transform sexuality into an original visual language.

Come and experience porn differently, and join us in talking about subjects that move the world.
