friendly reminder was born from unused test footage from Luna Timnis’s porn debut Flight of Fancy and was sparked by an emotional punch in the face (meant metaphorically), when she once again realized how important independence is.
The idea behind the film is to not just talk about how sex is often only seen as “intimacy with (an)other partner(s),” but to also look at it from the perspective of sexual assault. Even if someone does something horrible to you, it still doesn’t mean that they (should) have the power to take away your ability to feel pleasure. After enough time and healing... it’s time to fight back by taking care of yourself and learning how to let yourself feel all the pleasure that exists in your body. And being able to truly embrace that.

Luna Timnis
Luna Timnis, born in 1998 in Austria’s Burgenland region, lives and works as a freelance photo- and videographer in Vienna. She graduated from the Academy of Applied Photography and the College of Fine Art Photography & Multimedia Art at HTBLVA Graz-Ortweinschule. Since 2018, she has worked on various artistic photography projects and has exhibited her work at various shows. With her debut Flight of Fancy, she has dipped her toes into the (hot!) waters of pornographic filmmaking, combining her passion for visual art and creative concepts of pleasure. She is eager to continue exploring this field and to experiment with new ways of blending visual storytelling with intimate expression.
