The Runaway
Lakdar, a youth worker in a home for juvenile offenders in Marseille, goes to court along with one of the teenager s he’s in charge of, Sabrina. She is to be judged for an offence she committed a while before. Lakdar feels confident: he is convinced that their efforts will be rewarded… Golden Bear at the IFF in Berlin, 2013.

Jean-Bernard Marlin
Jean-Bernard Marlin (b. 1979) graduated from the Ecole Louis Lumière and the FEMIS Screenplay Workshop, he directed his first short film, Thick-skinned (2007), which was selected for a large number of international festivals. He is currently completing a documentary film and writing his first feature.
