Jakub Felcman

Jakub Felcman

Jakub Felcman is a graduate of FAMU’s Department of Screenwriting and of the cinema studies program at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts. He also studied documentary film at FEMIS in Paris. His feature-film debut was with the screenplay for A Night Too Young (2011), which he wrote in collaboration with Olmo Omerzu and Bruno Hájek. He also wrote the script for Radim Špaček's Beneath the Pavement is a Beach (2013), which won a FITES/Trilobit special prize. He also co-wrote the script for Michal Hogenauer’s feature film A Certain Kind of Silence (2019). As a director, he shot the experiment film Kino Effenberger (2016) and two documentary films about cinematographer Jaroslav Kučera – Jaroslav Kučera Up Close (2019) and Jaroslav Kučera Diary (2019).
