Fanny Ovesen
Fanny Ovesen is a Swedish filmmaker living in Norway. Before starting at the Norwegian Film School in 2015, she studied social sciences and film production in Sweden and had already directed several short films. Fanny often explores themes such as norms, structural power and privilege. She-Pack (2018) is her graduation film from the Norwegian Film School. In 2018, Fanny won the Nordic Talents pitch prize for her upcoming feature Laura, and later received the Swedish Film Institute’s “Wild Card” development support in order to explore the same project audiovisually. In 2019, she was awarded the Swedish Anna Prize for the project’s relevance for the UN Women’s Convention.
