Water Bears

A 6th-grade class discusses power structures, including those that exist among the 11-year-olds in the group. The film studies the bystander-effect from various perspectives and pushes the boundaries between illustrative, hyper-realistic, and fictive.

Yenni Lee

Yenni Lee is a Norwegian-Vietnamese director and screenwriter. She has an MA from the Film School of Valand Academy in Sweden. Her previous short films, Explosions in the Heart (2016) and Air Balloon (2011), have been screened at numerous international festivals, and her music video Run Away (2013) participated in the South by Southwest music and film festival and the Atlanta Film Festival. In August 2016, she was selected for the talent program at the Locarno Film Festival. She is currently developing her debut feature film, in which she explores sexual violence and power dynamics.
