Carolina Markowicz
Carolina Markowicz is a screenwriter and director from São Paulo. She has written and directed five short films. 69-Luz Square won best short at Rio and was screened at the New York MoMA. Tatuapé Mahal Tower premiered at the Toronto IFF in 2014, where Carolina was considered one of "five filmmakers to watch." Postponed won Best Screenplay at the Gramado FF. Long Distance Relationship had its world premiere at the Toronto IFF in 2017 and its American premiere at SXSW in 2018. The Orphan premiered at Cannes 2018, where it won the Queer Palm. Carolina’s first feature project, When My Life Was My Life, is currently raising funds.
