João Paulo Miranda Maria (1982, Brazil) studied film at Estacio De Sa in Rio de Janeiro and Unicamp in Campinas. His film, Command Action, was selected for the Critics' Week at Cannes in 2015 and his following film, The Girl Who Danced with the Devil, won Special Jury Mention at the 2016 Cannes International Film Festival.
