Jacqueline Lentzou
Jacqueline Lentzou (Athens, 1989) is a writer/director whose work revolves around unconventional family constructs, coming-of-age stories, intimacy, and dreams. She is a London Film School graduate (Distinction, 2013), and a Sarajevo (2014) and Berlinale (2015) Talents alumna. Her graduation project, Thirteen Blue, was screened at several international film festivals and was named the Best International Short at the Athens Film & Video Film Festival. It was also shortlisted for an Oscar nomination. The script for her semi-feature, Fox, was selected for the Berlinale Short Film Station. The film had its world premiere at Locarno (2016), where it was named Best International Short by the Cinema & Gioventu Jury. To date, Fox has won more than 16 awards worldwide, including the Uppsala ISF’s prestigious award in the memory of Ingmar Bergman. Hiwa (2017) had its world premiere at the Berlinale. More recently, Jacqueline was invited to represent Greece at the Locarno Filmmakers’ Academy and in the TIFF Talent Lab.
