“I hear you sold the finale for a quarter of a goose, is that so?” Corruption scandal of a referee, Pazdera, is the final straw in a decades long rivalry between the voluntary firefighters of Javornice and Prorubky, two neighboring villages. The winner of the last competition of this season takes it all. Will it be Prorubky or Javornice? And will Pazdera be able to keep his referee license or will he be forever banned? A dark comedy with hints of Western from the Orlické mountains hillsides.

Šimon Štefanides

Šimon Štefanides (1995, Czech republic) is a third year student of the Deparment of Directing at the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and a second year student of the Prague School of Economics. He discovered his passion for film at the age of 16, when his amateur film Slepice won awards at amateur film festivals. After graduating high school he could choose between dentistry or directing. He chose to study film and is currently enrolled in the creative workshop of Bohdan Sláma and Jasmína Blažević. His student films are: Salon Irena (2015), Eva’s Katze (2015), Posvátná prostitutka (2016) and Nehoda (2016). He won the NEURON Prima ZOOM Award for the best science video in 2015. His latest film, Ban (Dištanc, 2017) was created within the ShortStraem project of Stream.cz, an online TV channel.
