Full Moon Selection
Can film replace the experience of seeing a live concert? Only with difficulty, and yet we have decided that our selection of six short films will include musical protagonists whom we have deeply missed. Iranian-Dutch artist Sevdaliza has repeatedly collaborated with her Ghanaian-Dutch countryman Emmanuel Adjei, and the two have clearly reached a mutual understanding – just like renowned filmmaker Floria Sigismondi and Icelandic band Sigur Rós.
Hailing from less revelatory but no less intense (musical) waters are the British composer John Bence, the Italian duo Father Murphy, and Belgian filmmaker Shazzula, who plays with the band Wolvennest and whose musical collaborators include Warren Ellis of The Bad Seeds. And finally, there is Petr Marek hitchhiking his way to the position of front man in a short film about the band Midi Lidi, after which your ham-and-egg breakfast will never be the same.
