International Competition 4: It’s Not the End of the World Yet
Being a bridesmaid at the wedding of your child’s father with someone else, contributing to an eruption of political activism among the passengers of an unnamed Scandinavian airline, or experiencing the coronavirus lockdown. All these are situations when reality triumphs over nightmares and when it looks like things couldn’t possibly get any worse. In such moments, it is good to remember that they could. And that the end of the world will certainly look somewhat different.
This year’s International Competition features 37 films from 29 countries. The jury for this section will present one award for best film, which comes with a financial prize of 3,000 Euros, plus two honorable mentions.
Films can be seen at cinemas in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic, but also online at www.kviff.tv, were you can vote for the Audience Awards and win a festival pass for the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
