Love, 9 to 5

The short film Love, 9 to 5 takes a look at the profession of a bouncer, tearing down our entrenched image of aggressive men dressed in black. This mosaic of nightlife is a bitter comedy about looking for love in all the wrong places.

Jakub Jirásek

Jakub Jirásek is currently finishing his Master’s degree in directing at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). In his work, Jakub focuses on cinematic storytelling with strong characters and a clever humor. As an active musician he also has a deep passion for music videos and creating audiovisual worlds that speak for themselves. His last film, Don’​t Be a Pussy (2019), premiered at Premiers Plans d’Angers 2020 and was shortlisted for a BAFTA Student Award.
