When a Lebanese-Australian family is stopped by a military patrol on a deserted road in Australia, Nedal realizes that to protect his wife and daughter he will have to do something that would have been unthinkable just moments earlier.

Ben Phelps
Ben Phelps graduated in film studies from Australian National University in Canberra. He has worked on a variety of experimental video productions and installations. Checkpoint is his first short film. He is currently completing his master’s degree in directing and is working on a feature script
