Little Secret

This short film by a noted director of commercials and the creator of several trailers for the Karlovy Vary film festival was inspired by the recent case of a young man who blamed his serious injuries on an attack by a group of Romanies. But before the truth could come out, events that had been set in motion could no longer be halted.

Martin Krejčí

Martin Krejčí is a leading Czech commercial director. He studied documentary filmmaking at Prague’s FAMU, where he made several distinctive short films, including The Adventures of Jan Tleskač (1997) inspired by the books by Jaroslav Foglar. His short film Fricasse (2003) premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival. The film was then screened at many other festivals, including Karlovy Vary, Rotterdam, and Toronto. Czech festivalgoers may also know him as the co-author of the official trailers of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. In 2019, the festival showed his live-action feature debut The True Adventures of Wolfboy, written by the acclaimed playwright Olivia Dufault and starring John Turturro, Jaeden Lieberher, Chris Messina, Eve Hewson, Chloë Sevigny, Sophia Grace, and Michelle Wilson.
