Sawako Kabuki
Born in Tokyo, Sawako Kabuki graduated with a bachelor’s degreee in graphic design from Tama Art University and later completed her master’s degree. Her films have been screened and won awards at festivals in more than 20 countries, including Annecy, Ottawa, Rotterdam, Zagreb, and SXSW. She is known for her distinct directorial personality in hand-drawn animation. Her works include the shorts Summer’s Puke is Winter’s Delight (2016), Master Blaster (2014), and Anal Juke (2013).
