Mathieu Grimard

Mathieu Grimard is a writer and director from Montreal, Canada. He studied art history before entering university and taking a course in screenwriting. His storytelling style is rooted in youth culture and the human experience. Mathieu has directed over forty music videos and commercials. His first experimental short, Fleurs: Between Us Two (2018), looked at a relationship gone wrong. His most recent film, Goodbye Golovin (2020), is set in Eastern Europe and explores life, leaving home, and the loss of a sense of belonging.
