Ladj Ly
Ladj Ly is a French filmmaker born in Mali. Actor and director of the collective Kourtrajmé, he's known for the shorts 365 JOURS A CLICHY-MONTFERMEIL and LES BOSQUETS, in collaboration with the contemporary artist JR. For several years, Ladj Ly filmed and organized cultural events in his neighborhood, the Cité des Bosquets in Clichy Montfermeil. His last short is LES MISERABLES, Canal + Award at the Clermont-Ferrand ISFF, about the police violence in France.
