Reed Van Dyk
Reed Van Dyk is a Los Angeles based writer/director. His most recent film DEKALB ELEMENTARY won the Grand Prix at the 2017 Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival and a Special Jury Award at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival. The film has played at festivals around the world and been covered in the pages of Sight & Sound Magazine and Filmmaker Magazine. Reed's first short film THE CONSERVATORY won the Student Emmy Award for "Best Comedy" and his follow-up AMATEURCOUPLE premiered in front of Sundance hit OBVIOUS CHILD at the Melbourne International Film Festival. Reed got his start as a kid actor in New York doing Broadway and off-Broadway theatre. He has a BA in Theater Arts from Cornell University and an MFA in Film Directing from UCLA. He will be the recipient of a Princess Grace Award (2017-2018) later this year.
