Notes on Blindness

John Hull is a writer and theologist who lost his eyesight in 1983. After this unhappy yet inevitable event he did not turn bitter and started an audio-dairy. Three years later a thrilling mediation on memory, consciousness and perception was born and Oliver Sacks, a neurologist, said this was „the most accurate, deep and beautiful work on blindness ever created.“ The recordings now form an extraordinary portrait of a man who gradually stopped seeing sunset.
