Paolo Sorrentino

Paolo Sorrentino (1970, Naples) worked as a playwright with Naples’ filmmakers and theaters. In 1998, he made the short film, L’amore non ha confine, winner of several Italian and international awards. In 2000, he co-authored the TV series “La squadra” and made his first feature film L’uomo in più (One Man Up) that competed at the 2001 Venice festival and won a number of awards. His following films, Le conseguenze dell’ amore (The Consequences of Love, 2004), L’amico di famiglia (Friend of the Family, 2005) and Il divo (2008) have won many awards and all of them competed in Cannes.
