Nele Wohlatz
Nele Wohlatz was born in Hanover, Germany, and studied scenography and philosophy at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. She has directed several short films and videos for theater productions. Her graduation film, Schneeränder, received a development grant from the 2009 Duisburger Filmwoche. In 2013, her first feature film, Ricardo Bär (co-directed with Gerardo Naumann) premiered at BAFICI and won awards at FID Marseille, Antofadocs, and the Duisburger Filmwoche. Her solo debut, El futuro perfecto (2016), had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, where it received the Best First Feature Award.
