Total Refusal
Total Refusal is a guerilla media collective of artists, researchers, and filmmakers who upcycle the resources of mainstream video games to create political narratives in the form of videos, interventions, performances, and lectures. Their work has been screened at more than 250 film and art festivals and has been exhibited at a number of different venues. Since being founded in 2018, Total Refusal have been awarded more than fifty prizes and honorary mentions, including the Junior Jury Award’s Best International Short Film at Locarno 2022 and Best Short Film at the 2023 European Film Awards.
