The Exploding Girl
For the past three months, Candice has been exploding every day. Sometimes even two or three times a day. Her record is seven times. She currently has 192 explosions. The French creative duo of Poggi and Vinel presents another incomprehensible yet poignant exploration of the remote corners of the human soul.

Caroline Poggi, Jonathan Vinel
Caroline Poggi was born in Ajaccio and studied at the University of Corsica before going on to graduating from the University of Paris 8.
Jonathan Vinel was born in Toulouse. He studied editing at La Fémis.
Poggi and Vinel initially worked solo before collaboration on As Long As Shotguns Remain (2014), which won a Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlinale. Their first feature, Jessica Forever (2018), premiered at TIFF and the Berlinale. Eat the Night was presented at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes in 2024.
