As Chelar is at school listening to a boring lecture, she thinks about how little nature there is in the city. She sees just one way out of this unhappy situation: to become a tree. How do her classmates, parents, and teachers react to this decision?

Agnes Maagaard
Agnes Maagaard was born in Denmark and grew up in Copenhagen. After attending the Krabbesholm School of Art and the Copenhagen Film and Photo School, she moved to Berlin, where she is currently studying directing at the German Film and Television Academy. The Sky Is a Square (2022) is her first short film to be shown at film festivals.
