Mick Hannigan

Mick Hannigan is Co-Director of IndieCork, the biggest festival for shorts in Ireland. He was the founding Cinemas Director of the Irish Film Centre, leaving that position to establish the Kino Arthouse Cinema in Cork which he ran for 13 years. He has served on the boards of the Federation of Irish Film Societies, the Irish Film Institute and the Irish Film Board. He is currently a board member of the International Short Film Conference. He has a special interest in the art of the short film and in 2005 organized a three-day International Short Film Symposium as part of Cork’s year as European Cultural Capital.
