Anna Johnson Ryndová

Anna Johnson Ryndova is an editor. She started her filmmaking journey as clapperboard operator, script supervisor and assistant director and assistant editor. She studied editing composition at the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). She was nominated for the Czech Lion award for editing Walking Too Fast (Pouta, dir. Radim Špaček) in 2011, and for the Slovak Slnko v sieti Award for The House (Dom, dir. Zuzana Liová). She taught film studies at Lawrence University in Appleton, USA from 2012 to 2015.
She is currently working on films of various genres. For her, film art is an intellectual, esthetic and emotional research and journey as well as entertainment. She is very interested in authenticity, kitsch in all it forms and the ethics of filmmaking.
