Elizaveta Maximová

Elizaveta Maximová is a leading actor of her generation. Over the course of her career, she has had roles in dozens of film and TV projects in the Czech Republic and abroad, for which she has earned critical praise and three nominations for the Czech Lion Award. While still a student at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, she appeared as a guest performer with the National Theatre and acted in the short films Atlantis, 2003, and 128k, in which she played the lead and which were selected for the prestigious Cinéfondation section at the Cannes Film Festival. Her work includes historical dramas (Božena, Actor, Nebelkind), psychological thrillers (Spravedlnost, Stockholm Syndrome, Podezření), and contemporary dramas and comedies (Je Suis Karl, Hra, Děcko, Bora, Vlastně se nic nestalo). She has been nominated for a Czech Lion for her performances as the die-hard communist Marta Švarcová in the miniseries Actor, a mentally handicapped mother in Máma, and the superficial influencer Beáta in the series Děcko.
