Michal Cimala

Michal Cimala was born in Havířov, Czech Republic, and lives and works in Prague as a sculptor, painter, and designer. He has created several original musical instruments, including the Raketon and the Berlino.

Cimala is a co-founder of Trafačka Studios and Trafo Gallery, where he has participated in several exhibitions and organized many cultural events. Since 2006, he has worked as an assistant in the Academy of Fine Arts’ Sculpture I Studio, which was led by Jaroslav Róna until 2012 and has been led by Lukáš Rittstein since 2013.
