Pavel Sladký

Pavel Sladký is a film critic and cultural journalist. He studied Bohemistics at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts and journalism at the school’s Faculty of Social Sciences. He works for Czech Radio and has also published his writings in Cinepur and Film a doba magazines and on the Aktuálně.cz and ČTart.cz websites. He is a member of the Association of Czech Film Critics and the FIPRESCI international federation of film critics, and works for various Czech film festivals as a programmer and moderator of master classes. Pavel Sladký is also the author of a book, Film jsou tajné dveře do reality. 10 zásadních režisérek a režisérů současnosti – portréty a rozhovory (Film Is a Secret Door to Reality: Ten Important Directors Today – Portraits and Interviews).
