Jana Vlčková

Documentary and feature film editor Jana Vlčková was born in Košice, Slovakia. A graduate of the Film and TV School of Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU), she has cooperated with many leading Czech directors, including Vít Klusák, Filip Remunda, Martin Mareček, Robert Kirchoff, Jan Gebert, and Martin Dušek. She was nominated for the Slovak Sun in a Net Award for Kirchhoff and Remunda’s Steam on the River. She also won the 2018 Czech Lion Award for best editing for her work on Tereza Nvotová’s feature film Filthy and again in 2019 for Olmo Omerzu’s Winter Flies.
