Sleep Dreams
You definitely won’t get bored in a wild and surreal city full of balloon figures: there is always something going on, everything is almost too fast-paced, and you have no idea where to look first. Everybody likes everybody else and they all merrily smile at one another. If someone becomes overworked, all they have to do is to have themselves filled up with air. Everything works in seeming harmony – until the main protagonist witnesses a situation in which one of the happy ballon inhabitants bursts without hope for repair.

Anastázie Rainischová
Director, animator, illustrator, and graphic artist Anastázie Rainischová is currently studying animation and film at Prague’s Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design. She previously studied graphic design and in 2002 did a study exchange at the illustration department of the Universität der Künste in Berlin, where she began to take an interest in the subject of escapism, which she explored in her film Sleep Dreams (2025). In 2023, she showed her series of prints titled Bliss, Wellness, Paradise in the Young Talent Showcase section of the LUSTR festival of comics and illustration in Prague. In collaboration with Natália Peterková, she created the “King of Ink” episode for the series Wunderbaum. The series was named Best Czech Series of 2023 at the Anifilm festival. Rainischová also contributed to the collective music video for “Ten Sen” (That Dream) by the singer Kvítek, which was shown at the Anifilm and Fest Anča international film festivals.
