Marie Kenov
Marie Kenov was born in Basel and lives in Lucerne, where she works in the fields of graphic design, illustration, and animation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in poster design and visual communication from the National Academy of Art in Sofia in 2016 and also holds a bachelor’s degree in animation from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Her graduation film, Sweet Nothing (2021), which she co-directed with Joana Fischer, has been shown at numerous festivals around the world, including at Annecy, Palm Springs and Sundance. Ostrich is Marie’s first short film since graduation.
