Panadrilo
After surviving being swallowed by a crocodile, Juan, an immigrant en route to the US, finds himself so comfortable he decides to stay inside the reptile forever, leaving his wife and companion Camila alone on her unpredictable journey north, where their daughter awaits.

Marcela Heilbron
Marcela Heilbron was born in Panama. She initially pursued dance and choreography and left to study at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in the United States. Afterwards, she studied anthropology at Fordham University in New York City and earned an MFA in film from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Her first short film, God Is in the Breath (2019), was in the official selection at the Toronto Shorts IFF. After her adventures abroad, she returned to her roots and is now working in Panama, where she filmed her latest short, Panadrilo (2024), winner of the Best Fiction award at the Curtas Vila do Conde IFF and of the Jury Prize for Best Film at the PÖFF Shorts Black Nights Film Festival.
