Mária, a lonely 55-year-old plastic surgery addict and nail technician, one day finds her former love from her youth, Kálmán, on Tinder. They soon arrange a meeting, but due to Maria’s altered face, Kálmán has no idea that he is preparing to go on a date with his former lover.

Anna Korom
Anna Korom was born in Budapest and earned a bachelor’s degree in film directing from the University of Theatre and Film Arts. After the Hungarian government stripped the university of its independence, she continued her studies with her classmates at the Freeszfe Society, which was founded by students, teachers, and former university employees. She received her master’s degree from Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts in 2023. Besides directing commercials and music videos, Korom has made films that have been presented at various festivals. On the Eighth Day (2017) was shown at Camerimage Panorama in 2018, Juheida (2017) was in the official selection of the Flow Festival and the FUFF Film Festival, and Twenty (2018) and Mónika Doesn’t Want to Be Down on Earth (2019) were screened at the Zsigmond Vilmos International Film Festival, where the latter was named Best Short Film.
