Writing Home
A small bark-beetle girl lives peacefully in a tree in a forest. However, a fire caused by irresponsible humans burns the forest to ashes. Her hand is burned to charcoal and she is separated from her family. Lost in a human town, she has to face the dangerous world of giants on her own.

Eva Matejovičová
Eva Matejovičová is a Slovak filmmaker currently living in Prague, where she is a student at FAMU. Her films mainly revolve around animals. Her first film, Sanctuary (2021) was named Best Slovak Short Animated Film at the Festanča festival. Writing Home is her second short film.
