Daniel Soares
Daniel Soares is a Portuguese writer/director born in Germany. His short films have been screened at such festivals as Telluride, Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dokufest, Hollyshorts, Santa Barbara, Leeds, and many others, and have won awards at Premiers Plans d’Angers (Grand Prix du Jury), IndieLisboa (Best Portuguese Short Film), and the Zagreb Film Festival (Best International Short Film). He is currently developing his debut feature film 900 Toneladas, which was selected for the European feature-film development program LIM | Less Is More.
