Europe’s largest slum, La Cañada Real on the outskirts of Madrid, has been without electricity for over a year. In the light of a fire, thirteen-year-old Toni learns that his best friend Nasser is leaving forever. Through Romani legends of a possible future, Toni looks for a way to stay connected with him.

Guillermo García López

Guillermo García López is a filmmaker born in Madrid. His first film, Frágil Equilibrio (2016), won the Goya Award for Best Documentary Feature after its premiere at IDFA. He was invited to the Cinéfondation Residency in Paris to write his first fiction feature, Ciudad Sin Sueño. In 2020, he received the prestigious Princess of Girona Award for Arts and Literature.
