Naween Noppakun
Naween Noppakun is an audiovisual artist from Thailand with a background in music and sound design who subsequently switched to filmmaking. His first two short films, When Her Light Is Extinguished (2012) and We Love Me (2017), have won international awards in different continents and have been screened at film and video art festivals worldwide. Supported by the Ministry of Culture, his third short, Crazy Lotus (2024), was selected for development in the Berlinale Short Form Station at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival in 2020 and had its world premiere at the 53rd Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2024, where it won the Tiger Short Award.
