Gala Hernández López
Gala Hernández López is an artistic filmmaker and researcher. Her work has been shown at the Berlinale, DOK Leipzig, Cinéma du Réel, IndieLisboa, Transmediale, and the Salon de Montrouge, among others. Her film The Mechanics of Fluids (2022) won the César Award for Best Short Documentary and the 2023 Experimental Work Award at LaScam (France). A Ph.D. candidate at the University of Paris 8, she regularly gives workshops and performative lectures at places such as the Filmuniversität Konrad Wolf, Beaux-Arts de Marseille, The Photographers Gallery, and the Locarno Film Festival.
