Shooting Watermelons
Federico is on holiday with his father and brother at a summer vacation home in Sardinia. Their father, Aurelio, is a severe, macho man who makes Federico feel anxious and inadequate. When a wealthy foreign family invites them to dinner, Federico discovers he is not so different from his father.

Antonio Donato
Antonio Donato is a filmmaker from Milan who trained at the London Film School, graduating in 2023 with distinction. His graduation film, Shooting Watermelons, was selected for the 2023 Yugo BAFTA Student Awards, the El Gouna Film Festival, and Interfilm Berlin. It is currently being distributed by Lights On Films. Donato has also worked on international productions as a producer and editor, and some of these short films have been screened at Oscar- and BAFTA-qualifying film festivals. Recently, he was accepted to take part in the Locarno Film Festival’s Base Camp program.
